Battle recap

Deployment with no special surprises - the Daemons concentrate around the Bloodthirster on their right flank, while the Ogres go diagonally (on their right), looking to wrap around The Ogres finish deploying first and win the roll-off - they go first

Turns timeline

1

Turn 1

The Ogres advance on their right - as planned, to wrap around the whole flank, while the centre falls back from the Daemons The doggies move up (because of Vanguard they can't charge), an unlucky cannon shot and the Bloodthirster takes 4 wounds (2 left) The Ogre General rolls his bulk forward to check the flank (maybe he can intimidate the Daemons ;) ) In their turn the Daemons put the Flesh Hounds in front of the Ogre General to force a charge and an awkward formation for their own charge next turn. The Furies, unable to jump behind the enemy, find themselves a comfy little hole in the middle. The Flamers take up position for pelting - the first wounds go into the Ogre General.

2

Turn 2

The Ogre General grinds up the dogs nicely and makes an overrun at a pathetic distance (the Daemons rub their hands - the move was a bit risky but it paid off) and ends up in a beautiful position. The rest of the Ogres consistently push forward, creating a potential deadly cauldron for the Daemons. The doggies try to charge the Flamers - they fall short and take defensive fire. The cannon does nothing this time - the Daemon makes a save on a 6. In response the Daemons charge almost everywhere they can: the Bloodthirster and the Bloodcrushers with the BSB into the Ogre General, the Furies into the Bulls, the other Furies into the Gnoblars. The Flamers take up a firing position and remove the dogs. The cannon fires at the Mournfangs (2 wounds). The bright Furies hit quite nicely and kill 2 Ogres, break - pursuit, and they end up on the flank of the Gnoblars. The red Furies, with help from the bright ones, beat down the Gnoblars - break - pursuit. In the most important combat the Crusher champion issues a challenge, deals 3 wounds and dies, the Ogre General had been waiting for this, multiplies the wounds and has 8 for combat resolution. Thanks to that he doesn't lose but wins, the Daemons fall back - the General sticks to them. Counting on help from the Mournfangs at the back.

Turn 3

The Bulls charge the bright Furies, who have no move (immune to psychology). Luckily for the Daemons, the Mournfangs are about an inch too far from the Crushers. Being overweight doesn't help in war ;) The other Bulls charge the red Furies, finally counting on a nice gangbang with their buddies ;P. The bright Furies fall, as expected. Overrun and we have a gangbang, but the red Furies couldn't care less - they fight fiercely (I won't hide it, the Ogres pissed away their rolls terribly) and only one dies. In the centre the Bloodthirster smelled blood and issues a challenge to the Ogre General - it seemed the 4 wounds would go through with no problem, but then a twist: not only does the Ogre live, the Bloodthirster falls, though luckily he loses the combat badly, breaks and runs off the table thanks to the Flamers behind him. The Crushers pass a rally before their turn and position themselves to help the Furies. The Daemons smash into the big Bulls, the combat seemed ready to be pushed through, but surprise, the Ogres hold. The smaller Bulls break and the Furies chase them down. The centre holds. The Flamers and the cannon do their job and keep pelting - more wounds go into the Mournfangs and the cannon.

4

Turn 4

The next turn leaves only the Herald on the table from the Crusher unit, bravely facing the Ogres. The Mournfangs, seeing nothing, move into a position to charge the Herald. The Herald keeps holding the combat, the Ogre cannon drops off, the Mournfangs fail to be finished off,

Turn 5

In the fifth turn the Mournfangs carry out their plan and slam into the rear of the lone Herald (but the power of the ring cannot be undone) however, he couldn't care less, deep in his pink ass, and kills the challengers one by one. The Furies help and basically the game ends with the Ogres beaten down to the last man - unfortunately I forgot to take photos at the end. A great game against the Ogres, with changing luck. Flamers are a really nice addition to Khorne - something that was always missing - good pelting. Thanks Ajax for the game and until next time :)
