Army lists and tournament restrictions:

- Armies can be up to 2000 points.

- Legacy armies must use Renegade Army list pack: https://www.squarebased.com/

(Renegade draft lists are not allowed)

- Special characters and Mercenaries are allowed, no allies.

-Latest FAQ is in use: https://assets.warhammer-community.com/eng_07-07_whtow_rulebook_faq-ps72tgv2up-unc14cpzwf.pdf

- Grand Melee and Combined Arms restrictions from the Matched Play book p. 13 are in use, in addition some additional restrictions are listed below

Under Combined Arms army rules, additional limits apply to any units and characters that are not otherwise restricted by the army composition list you are using. This encourages players to create tactically diverse armies, rather than relying too heavily upon a single unit type or the over proliferation of a certain type of character. Unless a unit or character is already restricted in some way by the army composition list you are using, a limit of:
0-3 applies to Characters
0-4 applies to Core units
0-3 applies to Special units
0-2 applies to Rare units
0-2 applies to Mercenary units
-The Hordes of Chaos Army of Infamy and other matched-play content from Arcane Journal: The March of Chaos are not in use in this tournament. The optional Channelling, Arcane Magic and Sorcerous Ruses rules are also not in use. No rules or content from the new Arcane Journal or its magic system are used in this tournament.

-Deadline for comp updates/changes is 15.8.2026.

All armies/General rules:

Universal Composition Restrictions
- 0-4 Cannons or units which have a weapon that can shoot using “Cannon Fire”
How Regeneration Works
For example, if a single model (Not multiple model unit) with 1 Wound and the Regeneration special rule is hit by 4 successful attacks, each attack is resolved individually, even though, for the sake of speed, the dice are usually rolled together using Fast Rolling (see p.148).
In reality, the attacks happen one at a time:
- If the first wound is not saved by Regeneration, the model is slain immediately. Any remaining successful wounds are discarded and are not resolved. In case of multiple model units, next wounds are allocated to next model.
- If the first wound is saved by Regeneration, the next wound is allocated to the same model and another Regeneration roll is made.
- This process continues until either the model fails a Regeneration roll and is removed as a casualty, or there are no more wounds left to resolve.
The same principle applies to Multiple Wounds attacks. Any wounds inflicted beyond the model's remaining Wounds are lost and do not carry over to another model.
Simple example: Zombies make one Regeneration roll for each individual wound inflicted against them.
How Cannon fire works:

From the target point forwards, if the path of a cannonball intersects a model that is a Monstrous Creature or Behemoth it is struck immediately and the cannon ball stops, no further models are hit.*
From the target point forwards, if the path of the cannonball meets the edge of a hill or any part of an impassable terrain feature or high linear obstacle, it stops immediately and no further models are hit.*^

*For all options: In any case where the cannonball stops prior to bouncing, that point becomes its final strike point for the purposes of all applicable rules e.g. Thunderous Impact.

^Please note: This does not change the interaction for a bouncing cannonball from the strike point onward, which would stop immediately if it intersects with a hill.
