King Ptramesses II set out from Khemri to aid Settra’s host in its glorious conquest and seek long forgotten lost artifacts from his rule. One such artefact was the crown of his beloved queen, Nefertiti, which once sat atop the altar of the shrine Ptramesses had made for her, but was stolen during the decay of the kingdom of Khemri. Along the path of his search lay several small towns, the safety of which came to the concern of Duke Louis I. Louis had rallied to the cry for aid from the border princes after Settra’s assault began and hastened to the defence with his knights. Prioritising the safety of civilians and the defenceless, he was ready to take drastic measures to minimise casualties. Both generals met for parlay before the field of battle and after diplomacy triumphed, an agreement was struck. Ptramesses would not attack any of these towns, but in return for this mercy, Louis would lend his knights to aid the undead monarch’s search for his beloved’s crown.
