Warhammer: The Old World – Berlin Kickoff Turnier
English Version below
Idee
Wertung:
- Es zählen ausschließlich Turnierpunkte (=BP).
- Tie-Breaker:
- Direkter Vergleich
- Summe der Siegpunkte (=VP; Victory Points)
- Stärke der Gegner (Strength of Schedule)
Siegpunktmatrix:
SP Differenz - TP Sieger - TP Verlierer
0–200 10 10
201-300 11 9
301-450 12 8
451-600 13 7
601-750 14 6
751-950 15 5
951-1150 16 4
1151-1400 17 3
1401-1700 18 2
1701-2500 19 1
>2500 20 0
Szenarien:
Spieltag 1
Deployment = Drawn Battlelines
Secondary Objectives: Baggage Trains und Strategic Location (3)
Spieltag 2
Deployment = A Chance Encounter
Secondary Objectives: Baggage Trains, Domination (Boni stacken nicht d.h. max 200 pro Spielfeldviertel) und Special Features (kein Impassble Terrain; sonst wie Match Play)
Spieltag 3
Deployment = Encirclement
Secondary Objectives: Strategic Location (4)

English Version
Idea
This tournament is the kickoff for a planned Berlin League and aims to strengthen the local community. The focus is on offline play.
Structure:
• Group stage in pools (3–5 players depending on registrations) for fast execution.
• Currently planned as 3 game days – 1 game per month starting in February.
• Lists and armies are not fixed – they can be changed for each game day (according to the restrictions agreed with the opponent).
• Followed by a knockout system including a final (similar to NFL playoffs or the World Cup).
• With a larger number of participants: “Pods with Double Bracket” for better scalability.
Outlook:
This tournament is the starting point for the Berlin League. Partnerships and sponsorships are planned for the future, as well as additional tournaments that will be integrated into the league.
Game Organization
Games are primarily organized privately or in clubs (e.g., Rudi, Heckerdamm, Funtainment, or Battlefield). Games in clubs must be requested privately.
Tournament Rules – Ruleset
• The current rulebooks, Arcane Journals, Legacy Lists, and FAQs from GW apply.
• ComFAQ is used.
• Standard format is 2000 points Grand Melee and Combined Arms, played as Match Play .
• By mutual agreement, 2000 points using Berlin Comp, the WTC CoN Rulepack, or GermanComp are also allowed, which partially include adjustments for Legacy armies.
Important:
If Posaz or GermanComp is used, the WTC missions and matrix will still be applied so that the Victory Points (VP) for the tiebreaker (see below) remain comparable.
Terrain:
It is recommended, for simplicity, to use WTC maps including terrain rules (see WTC CoN Rulepack). Any terrain following TOW rules is also fine if both players agree.
Scoring:
Only Tournament Points (= BP) count.
Tiebreakers:
- Head-to-head result
- Total Victory Points (VP)
- Strength of Schedule (opponent strength)
Victory Point Matrix:
VP Difference – Tournament Points (Winner / Loser)
0–200 → 10 / 10
201–300 → 11 / 9
301–450 → 12 / 8
451–600 → 13 / 7
601–750 → 14 / 6
751–950 → 15 / 5
951–1150 → 16 / 4
1151–1400 → 17 / 3
1401–1700 → 18 / 2
1701–2500 → 19 / 1
2500 → 20 / 0
Scenarios
Game Day 1
Deployment = Drawn Battlelines
Secondary Objectives: Baggage Trains und Strategic Location (3)
Game Day 2
Deployment = A Chance Encounter
Secondary Objectives: Baggage Trains, Domination (bonuses do not stack – max 200 per table quarter), and Special Features (no Impassable Terrain; otherwise as per Match Play)
Game Day 3
Deployment = Encirclement
Secondary Objectives: Strategic Location (4)
Additional Scenarios
Scenarios for potential further game days and the knockout phase will be determined later, depending on the number of registered players.
Judges
The Tournament Organizers (TOs) act as remote judges whenever possible. Players are therefore asked to register their games so judge coverage can be planned (where possible). Judges can be contacted remotely via Discord.
