Tournament Round Sequence
This is a team tournament. Rounds will consist of 7 days each.
Within 2 days, captains must have conducted the pairing procedure, which will yield the player pairings within the team match.
As soon as the player pairings are done, the players then have time until the end of the round to conduct their matches.
All games are streamed on the LD3 Discord server.
The tournament points of each teams players are added up and are the team tournament points for this round. The team tournament points are capped per round to ensure the tournament stays interesting. Cap is 63 - 37.
Disclaimer: In the face of current team events in TOW, we do not accept any position that fuels hatespeech or discrimination - or supports current invasions and acts of agressions of countries. Be aware this does not only apply to the Russian War against Ukraine. We reserve the right to exclude players which are known to support these wars, to discriminate people because of their nationality, sexual or political orientation or appearance or who try to undermine the mutual respect and trust building within the international TOW community. To be specific about the Russian war against Ukraine: A statement of condemning the invasion is expected prior to the tournament from players of Russia and Belarus. Note that this is not an exhausting list, but it is the only conflict currently relevant for the potential player base and can be extended to any active war/conflict zone. The entry fee of affected players will be used to support humanitarian helping funds. Exclusion groups for teams/players from open conflicts will be offered, so players from countries in conflict will not have to play against each other. If you need a safe moment, tell your opponent to stop the game and write immediately a TO.

Tournament Pairing Sequence - use Welcome • 9th Age Builder
Captains place each one army face down, then reveal simultaneously.
Captains place two armies face down against the army their opponent placed.
Captains chose from the two offered armies one to play against the army they placed in the first step. The other army is returned to the hand. [Pairings 1 & 2]
Repeat Step 1.-3 [Parings 3 & 4]
Captains place each another one army face down, then reveal simultaenously.
Captains chose from the two remaining armies of their opponent one to play against the army they placed in step four. [Parings 5 & 6]
The two non-picked armie will then play against the armies held on the hands. Note that both Captains cannot see which army was picked in the previous step until both picked. [Pairing 7 & 8]
Captains then roll the Tables [from WTC Maps] for all 8 matches.
Coach Calls - Please keep interference during games at a minimum. For each game, there is the allowance of one "coach call" which is allowed to be initiated either by the player or the captain. A call is allowed to last 3 minutes and is the only instance in which talking over the game during the game with second-party or third-party players is allowed. The call is allowed to take place between the player and one of the other team members. Unmute your microphone and ask about the call. Go to a second voice-channel for the call. Only two people are allowed in said call. Any violation of this or chatting with other players/captains during the matches will be instantly counted as concede. If this happens more frequently, a player or team might be excluded.
Game Interference by Spectators - If rules issues come up, please contact a judge. Do not write directly to one of the two players involved by dm.
Disclaimer: Experience shows that most games on LD3 will have a very jovial, merry character and players will stay easy. I hope that this will be the case for most of the games and always remind yourself to try and stay civil. If the tense is too high, or if you need a safe moment, contact a judge. LD3 aims for fun competitive content. Small changes in pairings, schedule, deadlines, lists etc. due to personal reasons (real life is a thing) can be conducted via consulting the TO. All easiness aside, expect your opponents to be quite capable!
