Timeline
Some speak of the Mountain Crown as if it were alive—an ancient sentinel guiding glory seekers toward their fate. In the lowlands below, warbands seem to clash without reason, as though the land arranges its own champions. Farther on, the earth itself seems to draw their path, shaping the flow of troops and the rhythm of conflict. Those who prevail feel the mountain tighten around them, allowing to run their foes down, closing paths like a hunter’s snare. At the journey’s end rises the Crown: a high, wind‑bitten plateau encircled by jagged peaks, with a lone hill standing proud at its heart. Many have climbed it. Few have held it.
For atop that solitary height, the mountain chooses its king.
