Battle March Online Cup #1 – Triad Edition (750 pts) – Version v2.8 m

Solo Triad format: bring three distinct 750‑point lists (A/B/C) and play them across three rounds on 30 × 44″ tables. Each round consists of three mini‑games, each linked to a specific scenario. List submission deadline: 21 Oct 2025; round 1 begins 23 Oct 2025.

Army building highlights: at least two non‑character units per list; characters ≤ 25 % of points and no single character may exceed that limit; magic items are 0‑1 per army; up to two copies of the same Core unit are allowed, but Special, Rare and 0‑X entries are limited to one copy per list; single‑unit caps remain (≤ 35 % Core, ≤ 30 % Special, ≤ 25 % Rare); three different armies across A/B/C; Sky Lanterns banned and Renegade Legacy Armies allowed; percentage caps are rounded up (e.g. 25 % of 750 = 188 points); one restricted (0‑X per 1 000 pts) option may be included in a 750‑pt list.

Pairing sequence: each round has three pairings; Pairing 1 uses Scenario 1 (The Central Breakthrough), Pairing 2 uses Scenario 2 (Scattered Supplies) and Pairing 3 uses Scenario 3 (Hold the Line). Players secretly select and reveal their offers and counters for the first two pairings; the last pairing uses the remaining lists. Sum the Victory Points from all mini‑games and apply the Triad 20:0 matrix (cap 2 200).

Scoring overview: VP difference 0–249 → 10–10; 250–499 → 11–9; 500–749 → 12–8; 750–999 → 13–7; 1 000–1 249 → 14–6; 1 250–1 499 → 15–5; 1 500–1 699 → 16–4; 1 700–1 899 → 17–3; 1 900–2 049 → 18–2; 2 050–2 199 → 19–1; ≥ 2 200 → 20–0.

Scenarios: 1) Central Breakthrough – control the centre (+60 VP) and flanks (+20 VP each). 2) Scattered Supplies – five caches worth +20 VP each; holding three or more grants +20 VP bonus. 3) Hold the Line – three markers worth +20 VP each at the end of rounds 3 and 5.

Victory Points: destroyed or fled units score full points; units fleeing at game end or at/below 25 % strength score half. Destroying the enemy general gives +50 VP and capturing a standard gives +25 VP (Battle Standard +25 extra). Only units with Unit Strength 5+ within 3″ and not fleeing or subject to Stupidity may hold objectives.
